Juggling life leads to dream healthcare job for Post University MBA graduate

For Terry Lascell, getting ahead has been all about perseverance, multi-tasking and never giving up on one’s dreams.

The online Master of Business Administration degree he received from Post University in June also has made a huge difference in his life, and helped him land a position as a business development associate administrator at a top South Florida hospital.

Terry, 40, of Lighthouse Point, Florida, dreams of one day being the chief executive officer of a major hospital and he is well on his way to achieving that goal.

Never let ‘em see the back of your head

I’ve been inside a classroom either as a student or a professor for many years. Coming from the perspective of someone who has been a successful marketer, and current professor, I’ve learned a lot about what works and what doesn’t.

Engaging my students is a lot like engaging a customer ... It takes a lot of trial and error, trying new things, and risking failure, but when it works, the benefits are clear. Most business professionals would agree that a satisfied customer yields higher sales. A parallel can be drawn in higher education … a satisfied student creates a platform for higher level of engagement, which, in turn, yields a deeper level of learning.

Post University graduate publishes her second murder mystery book

Accountant by day and writer by night, Marian Lanouette is very busy, but she couldn't be happier about it.

Her day job focuses on managing an accounting department for a Cheshire-based oil company, but her passion is creative writing. Her dreams of becoming an author have already come true as she has published two books and a novella.

Marian, who is one of ten children, received her Associate of Science degree in Accounting in 1987 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1990 from Post University. While pursuing her degrees her elective was in creative writing.
