What's more, it was a night to celebrate the fact that the Baldrige family granted us permission to rename our business school to The Malcolm Baldrige School of Business at Post University. It also was a time to celebrate how we are taking his principles to heart to help our students forge new business accomplishments and become innovative leaders.
More than 100 guests joined us, including Baldrige's daughter, Molly Baldrige; Harry Hertz, Director of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program; B. Jay Cooper, Director of Public Affairs at the U.S. Department of Commerce and the chief spokesman for Secretary of Commerce Malcolm Baldrige; Waterbury Mayor Neil O'Leary; and, of course, Post University President and CEO Tom Samph, Ph.D. and members of our Board of Trustees, among other invited guests.
During the event we unveiled a commissioned oil painting of Malcolm Baldrige, which we are hanging in Post University's Traurig Library. You can see photos of the unveiling here, as well as other pictures from our Malcolm Baldrige event.

Another very moving moment was when Bob Mobilio, a long-time friend of "Mac's" and a Class of 1946 graduate of Post College, shared a few a memories.
I was honored to have been part of such an evening, and we're all looking forward to continuing Baldrige's legacy at The Malcolm Baldrige School of Business for generations to come.
