Calling all adult learners! Share your best college advice for your chance to win $1,000

It’s clear from the response to the third cartoon caption contest on our blog (winner to be announced here soon!) that our readers enjoy a little friendly competition. We also know how much our adult students love to share their stories about going back to college with us. So, today we’re launching another contest. But this time, we’re doing it on Facebook.

Through our Advice to Your Former Self Contest on our Facebook page, we’re searching for the best of the best college advice for and by today’s growing population of adult learners. All adult learners who are in school now or have recently graduated are invited to enter.

Here at Post University, we’re inspired every day by students’ triumphs and advice on returning to the classroom as an adult. They tell us about how they manage to balance family and work responsibilities with their education. They share tips on how to stay on track toward graduation despite so many competing to do’s. Through this contest, we’re excited to be able to collect and share more of their insights — and those of adult learners attending other colleges and universities.

We’re looking for thoughtful and creative submissions that will really serve as a resource for current or prospective adult learners.

A team of Post University-appointed judges will review all submissions, and if they judge your advice to be the best, you will win the grand prize of $1,000!

At the end of the contest, the insights and stories will also be used to create an e-book that will be available to the public at no charge.

The contest runs now through Oct. 2, 2012. Enter now on our Facebook page!

We’ll be announcing the winner on our blog, so be sure to watch this space. We’re looking forward to sharing all of your tips, tricks, and triumphs as an adult learner!

  1. My best college advise: Should an individual (student) make that important, soul decision to begin on the road toward achieving another goal in life such as education, then do so with all of one's heart, with a commitment to explore, challenge, change, evolve and grow, with the excitement of understanding that this lifelong accomplishment enhances not only the life of the individual, but also has the capacity to inspire and enhance the world around them. ..Enjoy the Ride!
