Post University’s men’s basketball rocked Felician College 65-48 Thursday night in Orangeburg, N.Y.
The Eagles’ Garvin McAlister scored 22 points and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds, while Geraldo Fernandez swatted six of nine three-point attempts for 18 points in his second career game with the Eagles.
The win brings Post University to 7-7 overall and 5-1 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). But even though the Eagles’ confidence is running high after downing the Golden Falcons, Coach Al Sokaitis remains cautiously optimistic about the team’s chances of taking home the league title.
Our blogging team snagged a few minutes with Coach today to talk about his thoughts on the Eagles performance against Felician, how he’s feeling going into their next match up this Wednesday against Concordia College (4-11, 3-4 CACC), and what he thinks it will take to pull out on top of the league.
